Created during my time as the lead Graphic Designer for Cornell Pump Company, this large-scale mural was designed for the conference room in the company’s Vancouver office, transforming the space into an immersive celebration of the industries Cornell serves.

The composition brings Cornell’s diverse markets together within a single, fluid visual landscape, illustrating the company’s broad reach while maintaining a cohesive narrative from one industry to the next. Rather than treating each market as a separate element, the mural connects them into one continuous environment that reflects the versatility and real-world impact of Cornell’s products.

Visually, I drew inspiration from WPA-era artwork and the monumental murals of the 1930s, incorporating simplified forms, strong compositions, and a distinctly retro sensibility. This historical influence gives the piece a timeless, handcrafted character while remaining consistent with Cornell’s established visual identity.

The result is a piece of environmental storytelling at architectural scale—part illustration, part infographic, and part brand experience—that turns a functional conference room into a memorable representation of Cornell Pump Company’s history, capabilities, and industries.
