Abroad is a travel magazine and companion app designed for people inspired by discovering what’s beyond the familiar. The project explores how a single visual identity can translate seamlessly between editorial and digital experiences while maintaining a cohesive sense of place and personality.

A friendly sans-serif typeface, consistent grid system, and thoughtful visual hierarchy create a unified design language across both the publication and user interface. Calm, inviting color palettes provide a backdrop for breathtaking travel photography, allowing destinations to take center stage while giving the brand an approachable, contemporary feel.

The magazine focuses on immersive editorial storytelling, while the companion app translates that experience into an intuitive digital format where travelers can explore destinations and access practical information as they plan their next adventure.

Together, the two experiences balance inspiration with functionality—capturing the excitement of discovering somewhere new while providing travelers with the information they need to turn “someday” into their next destination.
