Annual Pump School
As the lead Graphic Designer for Cornell Pump Company, I developed the visual identity and environmental branding for the company’s annual Pump School, an immersive multi-day training event bringing together customers, industry professionals, and Cornell experts.
I designed the event experience across nearly every touchpoint—from name badges, lanyards, schedules, food and beverage signage, and presentation templates to large-scale stage backdrops and environmental graphics. Maintaining a cohesive visual language across so many formats helped transform the event from a collection of individual materials into a unified branded experience.
I also saw an opportunity to rethink an underutilized refreshment space outside the main classrooms. Rather than leaving it as simply a place for snacks and breaks, I developed the concept of transforming the room into a mini tradeshow showcasing each of Cornell’s key industries.
Each industry received its own branded booth environment featuring a custom backdrop, coordinating roll-up banner, targeted product literature, and a uniquely designed tablecloth. For the tablecloths, I created individual patterns composed of illustrated icons representing the products, applications, and characteristics of each market—giving every booth its own personality while keeping the entire space visually connected.
The result was a more immersive event experience that combined brand identity, environmental design, illustration, print, and experiential marketing—turning previously unused space into another opportunity for attendees to explore Cornell’s capabilities and engage with the brand.
And if you look closely at the event photos, you might even spot the designer herself in the wild.
